Football for Everyone campaign – Make Football Everyone’s Game

This year, Bromsgrove Sporting are pleased to announce that we are supporting the FA’s ‘Football for Everyone’ campaign.

We want to show that Bromsgrove Sporting is an inclusive club, where everyone is welcome to participate and spectate.

Foodbank collection

At this match, we shall be collecting for the local foodbank, to help those in need – particularly families and children over the Christmas and New Year period.

Food items should be non-perishable and can be left at the market stall by the turnstiles. If anybody delivers to the Victoria Ground on non-match days, then donations can be left by the middle turnstile gates on the inside of the ground.

Opposition

  • Royston Town are currently 10th in the league, with 25 points from 15 games.
  • On the road this season in the league, Royston have played eight games (W3 D2 L3). They have only won one of their last five away league games (0-4 vs St. Ives Town).
  • They had into this match off the back of a 3-2 home win vs Stratford Town.
  • Matthew Bateman is Royston’s top scorer in the league this season with eight goals. He is in joint sixth, with Sporting’s Mikey Taylor leading the way at the top.
  • Bateman is no stranger to Sporting fans, having scored a hat trick for Berkhamsted in the 3-3 draw at the Victoria Ground in January.
  • Royston have reached the last 64 of the Buildbase FA Trophy this season as well; they face National League side Boreham Wood at home on December 14, in the First Round Proper.
