MATCH PREVIEW: Info for Aylesbury at home this Saturday

Saturday’s Evo-Stik Southern League Division One Central encounter at home to Aylesbury looks sure to be a cracker, especially with another bumper crowd expected, with the big Midlands teams not in action.

It could be deemed to be unfinished business for Sporting, with two Rich Gregory penalties saved by Nick Bennion late on in the game being the main events when the teams met in the league in September, as the points were shared.

Visibly jubilant afterwards, you could say that Aylesbury perhaps haven’t quite kicked on from what was a truly spirited display against the Rouslers.

Currently in 16th place, they have clocked up 12 points from 13 games, with their away form arguably being better than their home.

Home W1 D2 L5. Away W2 D1 L2.

However, league position aside, those who travelled to the Aylesbury game, along with players, management team and officials alike, will know that Saturday’s game will certainly be no pushover – a tough game should be expected against a well-drilled outfit.
