COLTS RESULTS: Weekend 30th – 31st March

Includes the U8 Whites winning the Spring Cup and league champions, the U18 Shamrocks, reach a second final.

Saturday 30th March

Worcestershire FA Tournament

  • The U6s played five games, winning four and drawing the other. Goals came from Jacob Melbourne (x5), Charlie Gladwin (x2) & Ted Roche. Joint Players of the Tournament were Jack George & Jacob Melbourne.
  • U7 Greens played five, winning one, drawing three and losing one. The lads were great, with two regulars out, no substitutes and one lad playing for the first time.

Midland Junior Premier League

  • Solihull Moors 0 – 2 Bromsgrove Sporting Colts U15 Reds: Goals from Zak Bennett & Joe Wykes – another great performance, POM Elliott Flint
  • C S Colts 2 – 2 Bromsgrove Sporting Colts U16 Reds: Alex Quaynor scored twice, POM Hugh McGowan

Central Warwickshire Girls Football League

  • Bromsgrove Sporting Colts U16 Sirens 2 – 0 Coventry Girls: Ironically, this was Sirens last game and their first win of the season against a team second in the League. The Girls have had a difficult season in the Premier League, but were on fire for this one. Gals from Paris Pickering & Charlotte Lane – POM was the whole team.
  • Sutton United 1 – 6 Bromsgrove Sporting Colts U17 Girls: The U17s move back to pole position in the Premier League – in terms of goals, it was two apiece for Toyah, Katie & Kez.

Sunday 31st March

Central Warwickshire Youth Football League


  • Five games, resulted in two wins and three losses.


  • Bromsgrove Sporting Colts U8 Whites beat Rubery Juniors 3-0 & Kings Heath Concorde 2-0 to win the Spring Cup outright. It took them some time to get going in the first game, but once they got going, they were in charge – Tyler Ruben (x2) & Lewis Fisher scored. In the second game, Colts started strong but it took time to establish a lead; Concorde were awarded a penalty for handball but POM Ethan Bagnall made a fantastic save. Colts went on to win 2-0, with goals from Lewis Fisher and Rio Walters. The management and parents were ecstatic seeing the lads win a trophy in their first season, after they struggled at the start of the season.
  • Bourneville Warriors 6 – 1 Bromsgrove Sporting Colts U11: Another below par performance – Olly White scored, Will Handford was POM.

Presidents Shield Semi Final

  • Bromsgrove Sporting Colts U18 Shamrocks 5 – 0 Holly Lane United: Shamrocks reached their second final – a great performance from the whole team, controlled from the first whistle to the end. Jake Marsden saved his seventh penalty in a row. This means the Shamrocks, as well as being league Champions, are in two finals. Goals came from Patrick Doherty (x2), Matty McFall, Connor Ruston & Chris Geraghty.


  • Bourneville 3 – 2 Bromsgrove Sporting Colts U12 Athletic: Goals from Jaden Mwale & POM Matty Megathey
  • Bromsgrove Sporting Colts U13 Gators 6 – 1 Coldland Colts: Gators finish off their Championship season with another resounding win – goals from Eliot Mowat, Ik Muojekwu (x2) and yet another hat trick for the league’s top scorer Blake Kindred. Final stats P16 W15 D0 L1 Pts 45
