Cup joy for our JPL teams

  • Bromsgrove Sporting Colts U15 Reds 4 – 3 Redditch United: Despite having no recognised keeper and having to play outfield players in goal, Colts managed to beat Redditch. The scoreline flatters the opponents, with Colts never in trouble. Goals from Joe Bunyan (x2), Ryan Terry & Zak Bennett. POM Lewis Grocott
  • Tantany Lions 1 – 8 Bromsgrove Sporting Colts U16 Reds: Colts in great form for this one. Goals from Alex Quaynor & Finlay O’Neill (two each), Lewis Espley, Dan Jarvis, Jon Troth & Zac Phelan. The whole squad were POM

Central Warwickshire Girls Football League

  • Bromsgrove Sporting Colts U16 Sirens 0 – 5 Derby County Ladies:Sirens showed signs of improvement – Phoebe Collins was POM.
  • Bromsgrove Sporting Colts U17 Girls 4 – 1 Pelsall Villa: On a cold, grey drizzly morning, the girls ‘turned up and got the job done’. With a bit more clinical finishing, they could have gone in at half time with about eight goals, but the points were comfortable, without quite reaching the quality of play the girls normally display.

Central Warwickshire Youth Football League


  • Seven games played in this category resulting in 3 wins and 4 losses


  • Bromsgrove Sporting Colts U12 Athletic 3 – 0 Sheldon Royals: A great result against top of the League Royals, Colts are now within striking distance, with two games in hand. Leading through a opportunist goal in the first half, Athletic dominated the second half with two brilliant goals – scorers  Harvey Nolan (x2) & Josh Hart. Luca Overthrow was POM
  • Bromsgrove Sporting Colts U13 Gators 6 – 1 Bartley Reds: Goals from Ryan O’Keefe (x3), Riley Harper, Dillion Partridge & Blake Kindred – Gators are now one win away from sealing the title.
  • Hampton 2 – 2 Bromsgrove Sporting Colts U14: David McQuaide & Sam Hendon scored, Jack Wheeler was POM.
  • Bromsgrove Sporting Colts U16 Superstars 2 – 8 Redditch Borough: 2-3 at half time but with only 11 fit players, Superstars were up against it when another player got injured – they struggled to contain Borough with only 10 men. Jack Groves and Josh Donaghey scored.
  • Bromsgrove Sporting Colts U18 Shamrocks 5 – 1 Sporting: Shamrocks go top for the first time this season with a totally controlled and solid performance. Goals from Archie Conlon, Pat Doherty, Jake Folke, Niall Doherty & Josh Hood.
