COLTS RESULTS: Weekend 19 – 20 October

A round-up of the Bromsgrove Sporting Colts’ action over the weekend just passed; here’s how they got on…

 – A Worcestershire FA mini tournament at Barnsley Hall saw our U6 & U7 teams do well
 – There were 7 development games resulting in 5 wins & 2 defeats
NOTE: One game was postponed
 – (C) Wryley Juniors  1  U11 Colts  0
Colts played really well against a strong team and were unlucky to lose, having a goal disallowed could well have crossed the line.
 – (WCC) Cookley Sports Youth Athletic  1  U16 Colts Reds  5
Fantastic battling performance in defence of their crown to proceed to the second round of the County Cup. Goals from Joe, Andrew, Nash & Lewis (x2). Standouts were Andrew & Dracon, who pulled the strings in midfield to give the opposition plenty to think about.

Colts go out of the County Cup to a single goal. MOM shared by Andrew Barnett & Hugh McGowan.

An evenly matched game that could have gone either way; goals from Jack & Tymon. MOM Ryley.

 – (WCC) St Johns Colts  7  U16 Colts Whites  0
Whites crash out of the County Cup, MOM Harry Stanley.
 – (WCC) Warndon Village Youth  1  U18 Colts Shamrocks  5
Shamrocks started off their defence of the County Cup by going behind early on in a scrappy affair, getting the equaliser with 20 minutes to go. Then after missing a penalty, they decided to start playing with grit and determination, scoring four times in the last 10 minutes, goals from Connor Dixon (x4) & Pat Doherty.
