COLTS RESULTS: Weekend 16th – 17th March

Includes doubles County Cup Semi Final success, as both our U16 Reds & U18 Shamrocks reach County Cup Finals.

Saturday 16th March

Worcestershire County Cup Semi Final

  • Bromsgrove Sporting Colts U16 Reds 4 – 3 Redditch Borough: Great result sends Colts to the final – goals from Alex Quaynor (x2) ,Mason Turford and an own goal. POM Finlay O’Neil.

Midland Junior Premier League

  • Bromsgrove Sporting Colts U15 Reds 1 – 0 M Y D U15 Lea Hall: The lads put in a great performance to beat Lea Hall. Corey Smith scored, Ben Wills was POM.

Central Warwickshire Girls Football League

  • Bromsgrove Sporting Colts U16 Sirens 2 – 4 Stourbridge Juniors: Renee Earle & Charlotte Lane scored, POM was given collectively to Megan Donohoe, Amy Clabon & Renee Earle. Close game, where the girls were unfortunate not to get something from it.

Sunday 17th March

Worcestershire County Cup Semi Final

  • West Hagley 1 – 2 Bromsgrove Sporting U18 Shamrocks: U18s won a thriller of a wind affected County Cup Semi Final – first half was backs to the wall with the wind in our faces. They managed to go in one down at half time, but a barnstorming second half with mainly attacking football, including Jake Marsden being on hand to save a disputed penalty in the dying minutes (six penalties saved in a row), saw goals come from Patrick Doherty & Niall Doherty.

Central Warwickshire Youth Football League


  • Six games finished in 5 wins and a draw.


  • Bromsgrove Sporting Colts U13 Gators 5 – 3 Silhill Saints: Not Gators best display but they had enough to come back from 1-3 down in the last 15 minutes- Goals from Ik Muoekwu, Elliot Mowat, Dillon Partridge & Blake Kindred (x2).
  • Bromsgrove Sporting U14 Colts 4 – 2 Coldland Colts: David Mcquaide (x2), Sam Akingbola & Jack Wheeler scored. POM Harry White.
  • Bromsgrove Sporting Colts U16 Superstars 1 – 2 Olton Ravens: A good game considering the conditions, Superstars created chance after chance and were unlucky not to get anything out of the game – Joe Wathen scored.
