COLTS RESULTS: Weekend 16 – 17 November

A round-up of the Bromsgrove Sporting Colts’ action over the weekend just passed; here’s how they got on…

Saturday

– (WCC) Meadow Park Youth 2 U16 Colts Reds 2 (AET) – Colts win 5-3 on penalties
Coming back from 2-0 down, Colts went on to win on pens to reach the Semi Final. It was a devastating second half performance, with goals from Zak Bennett & Andrew Edwards. A special mention to the five penalty takers, all fantastic spotkicks under pressure. Zak Bennett was MOM, for arguably his best performance in a Bromsgrove shirt.

Sunday

– ​(C) Glades Athletic 1 U11 Colts 14
A brilliant team performance after going behind in the first ten minutes. Colts turned on the style, with goals from Jack Bate (x4), Akintunde Akingbola (x3), Jed Fairhurst (x2), Mickey Senior (x2), Alfie Fowke, Harrison Biddlestone & Tymon Blaszkowski. Whole team MOM.

– (C) U11 Colts Reds 3 Meadow Park Saints 0
Colts won the bragging rights at school by beating their local rivals, goal scorers were Leo Cerrone, Samsu Ndong & an own goal, MOM Alfie Evans.

– (L) U12 Colts 2 Bartley Reds South 2
A scrappy top of the table clash, goalscorers Kaelan Cole & Will Handford. Kaelan Cole was MOM.

– (L) Bourneville 0 U13 Colts Athletic 1
Colts grabbed a 1-0 win against Bourneville, eventually breaking them down ten minutes from the end with a goal from Liam Livesey. MOM was Corey Shipway, who was superb in a well fought game to stay top of the league.

– (WCC) Kempsey Colts 3 U14 Colts Gators 6
Colts progress to the next round in Worcester County Cup. Goals Blake Kindred (x3), Dillon Partridge (x2), & Ik Muojekwu

– (WCC) U18 Colts Shamrocks 7 Belbroughton 1
Shamrocks progress to the semi final in defence of their Worcester County Cup title, but it was after a slow start, where they went down early on. Colts had so many chances to equalise but failed to take them, until they finally did so just before half time. They then got a second on the stroke of half time; the second half was a different story, as they controlled the game to score another five. Goals from Niall Doherty (x2), Connor Dixon, Chris Geraghty, James Smith, Ethan Hart & an own goal.
