COACHES’ CORNER: Kev Barry previews Aylesbury United
In the latest edition of Coaches’ Corner, first team coach Kev Barry has looked ahead to our league encounter at home against Aylesbury United (Saturday, 3:00 KO).
“It’s been well documented this week that we also had a mixed bank holiday weekend; losing in the FA Cup with a very creditable performance against a step three outfit – the game could have gone either way as we all know, however, fine margins at this level are very evident.
“Sutton Coldfield proved to be another good test and this early in the season it is difficult to really assess whether it was a good point. All that said and as I outlined in my post-match interview, it was a positive day, another point on the board and again allows us to continue to build for the following challenge.
“Moving forward the group are in a very good place for the Saturday and Tuesday fixture programme; training was positive and left a buzz around the place, the lads really do have a great attitude and are great to work with – long may this continue.
“Bren has nearly a full squad to choose from, with Danny Jackman back in contention after his holiday – R’mar Murray is the only real injury worry and is still a couple of weeks away.
