Manager Bren Kelly casts his eye over Saturday’s big game against an in form Didcot Town side, with the latest from training and preparations being made.
“After our well earned point last time out to Thame United, the squad trained really well last Thursday, with high numbers in attendance as always.
“The lads enjoyed a weekend off as we approach a very telling month in our season.
“In the last few weeks, the division has proved that any result is possible at both ends of the table and confirms we cannot take any team lightly.
“We have three home games coming up over the next 10 days and we are very much looking forward to them.
“Starting with Didcot this Saturday – a very good established outfit at this level, who have had plenty of positive results against some of the favourites in the division.
“Even the results that were not so positive they have been very close games, so we are certainly up against it and we must prepare as best we can.
“The squad has proved over the last few weeks it has character and has proved its got strength in depth.
“We will need every bit of that going into this game and this month.
“With 41 goals scored so far in the league, we will of course look to continue to create chances and try to score more goals.
“At the other end, we must also be ruthless by keeping clean sheets and that will only happen if the whole team are aware of their defensive duties – of which my staff and I will try and make sure they are.
“So far this week, the weather has only be fit for the ducks but we would love to see another big turnout on Saturday to support the team.
“The Sporting faithful continue to raise the bar with attendances and it’s only right we try and repay that support with a brand of football they can enjoy watching.
“Jack Cresswell is unavailable this Saturday due to work commitments and R’mar Murray is a slight doubt due to injury – otherwise I have a healthy squad to choose from.
“See you all Saturday.”
