COACHES’ CORNER: Bren Kelly previews Bedworth United

Ahead of Tuesday night’s Southern League Cup First Round match versus Bedworth United (7:45 KO), manager Bren Kelly has previewed the fixture, focusing on how vital a good performance and result is.

“Tomorrow we welcome Bedworth to the VG in the League Cup, a team that have swapped status with ourselves, having gone to Step Four, whilst we replaced them at Step Three, a very well run club with great history behind it –

“After Saturday, it’s imperative we try to get a winning result, as we are very aware we have not won at home enough times this season.

“I thought we did okay in the first half on Saturday (vs Needham Market), but as we all know, it has to be done for 90 minutes minimum, so hard work and desire will be required in bucket loads for us to get the win.

“I do feel we are in a slightly false run of form but, at the end of the day, the facts are what they are and the results don’t lie.

“Football is a game of fine margins and it’s how we manage and react to them.”
