As a consequence of smoke bombs being set off at the recent match at Wisbech, Bromsgrove Sporting have been charged by the FA and are likely to receive a fine.
If there is a repeat at Saturday’s game against Thatcham Town then the punishment could be more severe, with an ultimate sanction of being thrown out of the competition.
As a result, Sporting’s manager, Paul Smith, and all the players are appealing to all fans attending the match to leave any smoke bombs or flares behind.
Paul said: “It would be a disaster for us to win the match then get thrown out of the competition because of the behaviour of a few over-zealous fans”.
Defender Aaron Roberts echoed his manager’s sentiments saying that he hoped everybody would get behind the team on Saturday and not do anything that could stop us getting through to the next round.
