COACHES’ CORNER: Bren Kelly previews Stratford Town

Ahead of Tuesday’s Emirates FA Cup encounter, at home to Stratford Town (7:45 KO), manager Bren Kelly has previewed the fixture, focusing on the new-look opponents and an injury update.

“The magic of the FA Cup is upon us again, as we face Stratford Town. This is a tough draw, against a team who have recruited well in the summer and have had a winning start to the league campaign (2-1 vs Kings Langley).

“It’s a quick turnaround since Saturday, so the message to the lads was to recover correctly and make sure we can put the same work rate and application in as we did against Coalville.

“Tom Taylor will miss out following the injury he picked up and we have another couple of players doubtful, as the injury frustrations continue.

“However, whatever squad we use, it’ll be good enough to compete and try to progress to the next round.

“The Sporting faithful were absolutely brilliant on Saturday and I hope they come back to support us again.”
