COACHES’ CORNER: Andy Mason previews Coalville Town

Ahead of Saturday’s league opener, at home to Coalville Town, assistant manager Andy Mason has previewed the fixture, looking at the tough task at hand and additions to the squad over the summer.

“A very warm welcome to everyone, as we return to the VG. We welcome Coalville Town in our first game and we are under no illusion as to how tough a game this will be.

“Last season, in the league, we drew at there place and they beat us at the VG. They are a very strong and well organised team, who are well established at this level.

“We have had a number of injuries during pre-season, but we are hopeful these will clear in the next week or so.

“We have added some really good talent to an already great squad, so it puts us in a position whereby we are looking forward to the new season ahead.

“The twelfth man has been pivotal to our success and we need you all again, once the current restrictions ease.

“Look forward to seeing you Saturday.”
